Plywood Projects - Plans
Using Plywood
This is an ongoing collection of plywood projects and
plywood plans that have one simple theme. All will produce
functional and/or beautiful wood projects from using plywood.
These free projects are some of the easiest woodworking projects
anywhere, but that doesn't mean they have to be any less valuable,
or produce results that are cheap or worthless.
Plywood is one of the strongest of all the wood products out
there. Just that fact that is is composed of various wood sheets,
all pressed together, makes it tremendously strong. Built using
solid woodworking plans, plywood will withstand just about any
strength test out there.
Let's not forget to mention that plywood projects are also
economical. The cost of the lumber itself is limited to the price
of plywood, which is relatively inexpensive, plus any hardware or
other added project components. Of course, there are various grades
of plywood available, so you must use your own discretion in how
much you are willing to spend on the plywood.
Certain plywood projects will call for finer grades of plywood.
For projects made into furniture, for example, you might want to
use a more expensive grade, where at least one of the sides of the
plywood sheet has a smoother, nicer finish. Of course, the nice
finished side would be used facing areas where you could see the
most.
Other plywood plans might call for cheaper grades of plywood.
Work bench projects are one example.
The first project listed here are plans for a Plywood Home Bar. The basic structure of
this bar is made using plywood, of course. The quality or grade
of other add-ons will be up to the woodworkers' needs and
wants.
Again, these plywood projects will be added to frequently, so
check back often. They provide a good way for to provide nice,
solid woodworking projects on a budget. These projects are also
relatively easy to build because of the use the versatility of
plywood.
